Fortnite Creative Lets Players Design Games | News & Opinion

As if Fortnite wasn't taking up enough hours of your free time, Epic is set to introduce Fortnite Creative this week and with it turn players into game designers.

Launching as part of Season 7 on Dec. 6, Creative allows players to turn their attention to creating content on their gaming PC rather than just consuming it. They'll be able to design games and set them up for playing with friends on their own private island. You'll be able to battle with friends or race them around the island while experiencing the extra buzz of knowing you created the fun yourself.

Those who own a Season 7 Battle Pass will gain early access to their private island from tomorrow, Dec. 6. You'll be able to invite your friends to the island during this period, too. However, from Dec. 13, all Fortnite players gain the ability to access a private island and start creating for themselves.

Epic is seeing this launch as just a starting point. There's much more to come and new features and improvements are already in the pipeline for future updates. The Fortnite Team state that, "Like Battle Royale and Save the World, we're committed to making this bigger and better over time."

If you'd like to get an idea of what Fortnite Creative is like, Epic gave even earlier access to a number of Fortnite community leaders who shared their first impressions on YouTube. You can access all of those videos over on Epic's website.
